AI interactive novel
Play an AI interactive novel from one sentence
Phone Wave turns one sentence, or one image, into an interactive novel you can play. In a scene you tap a person or an object in the picture and choose what happens next. The path you walked stays on a public page, and the next visitor can continue from there.
The same scene can lead to different next scenes. That is the interactive story: it keeps the road you took, instead of playing one film through to the end.
Enter story roomWhat Phone Wave is
Phone Wave is where an AI interactive novel is made. How a scene works is written up on What is Phone Wave.
What an AI interactive story is
You open a world with one sentence or one image. After that, every scene can be tapped, rewritten, and continued into another playable path. Phone Wave keeps those choices as a public page.
How do I start?
Start a world from one sentence or one image, or open a world already on the home page. In a scene, tap a person or an object in the picture and choose the next scene, or rewrite it. Reading a story that already exists does not require an account. Your first world is free: you can write the premise and pick the picture without an account, and it starts generating once you sign up or sign in (signing up needs an invite code from a friend). To hand the scene to someone else, send them that page's address.
- Story room — worlds other people have already started.
- Phone Wave · No Update? What'll You Use? — the first scene of this story.
- Phone Wave · Everything Is a Plugin — the first scene of this story.
- Phone Wave · Dragon & Whale, Ep. 2 — the first scene of this story.
Does it cost money?
Reading a public story, and walking a path that already exists, is free. Your first world is free too (it starts generating once you sign up or sign in), and signing up gives you 100 credits. After that, a new world is 30 credits, and a next scene nobody has walked starts at 5 credits; every step shows its price where you choose it.
How is this different from chatting with AI?
Chatting with an AI is mostly a private conversation, and it is gone when you close the window. Phone Wave moves by tapping the picture: you choose the next scene, and the path can be shared as a public page. A visual novel is mostly a script with choices fixed in advance.
| What is compared | Phone Wave | Character chat | Visual novel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tap the picture to continue | Yes. Tap a person or an object and choose the next scene | Uncommon. You usually type into a chat box | Yes, but the choices were written ahead of time |
| Replay and share a path | A public page, addressed /s/… | Usually stays in a private chat | Usually a save file on the device |
| Open a world from one sentence | Yes. A sentence or an image is enough to start | Depends on that product | No. The script already exists |
| Can a search engine list it | Some stories' first scenes can | Usually not | Usually not |
AI-assisted content
Pictures and narration are made with AI assistance. A creator supplies a sentence, or an image of their own; the model writes the scene, draws the frame, and continues into the next one. What you read was generated, not filmed in advance. Every public story page says the same thing in its own line: AI-assisted content.
